Severn Shed Restaurant – 19th March 2011

Restaurant Address: Severn Shed, the Grove, Bristol, BS1 4RB

Decor (8/10) – housed in the personal boathouse of the famous engineer Isambard Kingdom Brunel

Atmosphere (6/10) – a popular destination for the trendy cocktail drinkers and chatty dinners, more for a social dinner than a romantic spot

Food (6/10) – American style cuisine, our starter was a deli sharing plate consisting of: serrano ham, salami Milano, baby buffalo mozzarella, and sun-dried tomatoes, pan seared chorizo, marinated olives, houmous and flatbread.  For mains we both had smoked BBQ pork ribs and oven backed chicken thigh severed with chips and coal-slaw.

Service (6/10) – a bit mixed, was hard to pin a waiter down, but we arrived at a very busy time, with the restaurant over flowing

Value for money (5/10) – while the food was very nice I think the price was premium as a consequence to the fact it was popular and trendy and alongside the river

Overall 31/50 = 62%
