May 2011 - Alexander Hotel, Garbarska 18, Krakow, Poland

3 star Hotel
Staying for 4 night between 26th – 30th April

Grounds (9/10) – located on a neighbourhood street just off the main Planty park and just 10 minutes away from the main square.

Reception (7/10) – the English speaking staff were very helpful, allowing us to go into room very early on the first day (11 am) and help us with the booking for the Auschwitz trip. The reception was open 24 hour for assistance.

Bedroom (4/10) – the double room was nice but basic, the beds were separate but comfortable. In the bathroom the water was not always constant with hot water and the shower did not fully close. There was plenty of space for us with two huge wardrobes for our clothes.  Maid service was not always regular thou.

A hotel facility (4/10) – There is a cafe/bar and a restaurant where we had our breakfast, which was continental style but with addition of hot scrambled eggs and Frankfurt sausages.

Value for money (7/10) – Room cost £198 for 2 adults for 4 nights

Overall 31/50 =62 %
