Berlin Overview

Eating out: 8/10 (cheap if go Italian)

Nightlife: 4/10 (small and cramped and often very Smokey, a few gems for relaxed drink – Blonds)

Outdoors: 6/10 (a good mix of old and new architecture don’t need to go inside things to get feel of city)

Romance: 4/10 with its history it’s hard to get very romantic, yet could hold hands as we walked down a street

Shopping: 10/10 main street have range of shopping from supermarkets to the huge department store (good for getting lunch and cheap wine)

Sightseeing: 6/10 a range of things to see put a certain lack of impressive structures

Hotel: 6/10 good location near gay main gay spot (10 min walk), hotel did have very dodge lift to room but the room was very good clean and comfortable, in quiet spot with nice big bathroom. Good value for money and easy 10 mins tube to main city parts

Communication/attitude: 2/10 will act as if not know any English if you do not at least try a little German, overall friendly but a few icy people

Transport: 10/10 the link between airport and city very easy to understand and get (train lasting 33 minutes to main station near hotel), the tubes very efficient and not ever very busy, most times could get a seat

Value for money: 8/10 good when know where to go

Overall: 64% – a good modern city with plenty of history for the better and for the worst.
